66 Diner on Route 66 in Albuquerque
We stopped at a retro diner in Albuquerque for a dose of the spirit of Route 66. It didn’t disappoint. 66 Diner was decked out in items from the late heyday of the famous route, including a jukebox and chrome stools and formica tables. The menu included shakes and malts and burgers and fries, so how could we resist? I had fun with my camera, using a technique that gets the subject sharply focused, while throwing the background into a dreamy blur–which is exactly how I would describe nostalgia.
